Terms of Service

1. Eligibility & accounts

You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction) to create an account or place an order. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account.

You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information when registering and to keep it up to date. We may suspend or terminate accounts that provide false information, attempt to defraud, or violate these Terms.

2. Orders, pricing & availability

All prices are listed in US dollars unless otherwise stated and exclude applicable taxes and shipping. Prices, promotions, and product availability are subject to change without notice. We reserve the right to cancel orders for any reason, including suspected fraud, pricing errors, and inventory shortages.

Your purchase contract is formed when we ship the order, not when we accept payment. Until shipment, we may decline or cancel the order with a full refund. For pre-orders, the estimated ship date is an estimate, not a guaranteed delivery date.

3. Shipping & delivery

We ship to the contiguous United States, Alaska, Hawaii, Canada, the UK, and most of the EU. Free standard shipping is included on orders over $99 to the contiguous US. Shipping times are estimates from the date of dispatch.

Risk of loss passes to you upon delivery to the carrier. We are not responsible for delays caused by carriers or customs. International orders may be subject to import duties, taxes, and customs fees collected by the carrier on delivery.

4. Returns & refunds

We offer a 30-day return window from the date of delivery. Returned items must be in original condition with all included accessories and packaging. To initiate a return, email returns@ring.unipaxtools.com or visit your account orders page.

Refunds are issued to the original payment method within 5 business days of receiving the return. Original shipping is non-refundable for non-defective returns. Return shipping is paid by the customer except for warranty claims, which we cover.

Custom and clearance items are non-returnable unless defective. Digital gift cards are non-refundable but never expire.

5. Warranty

Rings carry a 12-month workmanship guarantee covering plating, stone setting, structural defects, and engraving that differs from the proof you approved. Everyday wear, impact damage and incorrect sizing are not covered. Full terms are on the Workmanship Guarantee page.

6. License to use our software

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the UNIPAX app and the product software embedded in your ring, solely for personal use with UNIPAX hardware. You may not modify, distribute, decompile, or reverse-engineer the software except as expressly permitted by applicable law.

Product software updates are provided at our discretion and may add, change, or remove features. We strive to provide updates for at least 5 years from a product's launch date.

7. Acceptable use

You agree not to use our services to: (a) violate applicable laws or regulations, including recording laws in your jurisdiction; (b) infringe the intellectual property or privacy rights of others; (c) attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems; (d) interfere with the operation of our services; (e) scrape, frame, or systematically extract content from our sites; or (f) misrepresent your identity or affiliation.

Recording audio inside vehicles is regulated differently across jurisdictions. You are responsible for complying with all applicable consent and recording laws.

Personalized items

Rings engraved with wording you supply are made to order. We engrave exactly the characters you enter — we do not correct spelling, spacing, or capitalization, because a name that looks like a typo is often deliberate.

Before production we send you a proof. Production starts only after you approve it, and your approval is what we manufacture from. Once approved, the engraving cannot be changed and the order cannot be cancelled. See the Returns & Refunds policy for what happens if a ring arrives defective or differs from the approved proof.

Content you give us

You are responsible for the wording, names, and any artwork you submit. By placing an order you confirm that you have the right to use that content and that it does not infringe anyone else's trademark, copyright, or other rights.

You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless against any third-party claim arising from content you supplied, including the costs of defending such a claim.

We do not reproduce professional league, team, or event marks, and we decline orders that ask us to. If your wording includes something we believe we cannot lawfully engrave, we will contact you for a change or refund the order in full.

8. User-submitted content

If you submit reviews, photos, videos, or other content to our services ("User Content"), you grant UNIPAX a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, perpetual license to use, reproduce, modify, and display that content in connection with our business. You represent that you own or have permission to share the content and that it does not violate any law or third-party right.

We may remove User Content that violates these Terms or for any other reason at our discretion.

9. Intellectual property

All content on our sites — including text, graphics, logos, photographs, software, and design — is owned by or licensed to UNIPAX and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other laws. "UNIPAX" and our logo are trademarks of UNIPAX Inc. and may not be used without permission.

DMCA notices may be sent to dmca@ring.unipaxtools.com with the information required under 17 U.S.C. § 512(c)(3).

10. Disclaimers

Our services and products are provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, except as expressly stated in our written warranty. We do not warrant that our services will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free.

UNIPAX products are aids to safety and evidence preservation. They do not replace careful driving or guarantee outcomes in legal proceedings. We make no representation that recordings will be admissible in any court.

11. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, UNIPAX's total liability arising out of or relating to these Terms or your use of our services is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the event giving rise to the claim, or USD 100, whichever is greater.

UNIPAX is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including lost profits or data, even if advised of the possibility. Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties or the limitation of liability for consequential damages, so some of the above limitations may not apply to you.

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold UNIPAX, its officers, directors, employees, and agents harmless from any claim arising out of your breach of these Terms, your User Content, or your misuse of our products or services.

13. Disputes & arbitration

Any dispute arising out of these Terms or your use of our services will be resolved through binding individual arbitration administered by JAMS in San Francisco, California, in accordance with its Streamlined Arbitration Rules. You waive any right to a jury trial or to participate in a class action, except where prohibited by law.

You may opt out of arbitration within 30 days of first accepting these Terms by emailing legal@ring.unipaxtools.com with the subject line "Arbitration Opt-Out" and your full name. Small-claims court actions remain available to either party.

Notwithstanding the above, EU and UK consumers retain all rights granted by their local consumer protection laws.

14. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles, except where mandatory consumer-protection laws of your country of residence provide otherwise.

15. Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated by email to registered users at least 15 days before they take effect. Your continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
